Bank secured lending, acting for prime and secondary lenders and other banking related matters. Clients are both national and internationally based with a large following of high net worth and owner managed businesses. Alex is well known for his commercial work for clients based both in and out of the Far East, the United States and Europe. He deals in all aspects of property including large value commercial projects, freeholds and leaseholds for both landlords and tenants. He advises on investment property and has a special interest in aviation law. In the sphere of company and commercial work Alex advises on contracts, employment related issues (acting for both employers and employees); company sales and acquisitions, (advising both directors and shareholders). Alex also deals with trusts, inheritance tax planning and wills. |

Alex’s background is rooted in a City practice where he was an equity partner in a firm that was established in 1885 (Adlers & Perowne later Adlers) acting for core company and commercial clients including franchise and all aspects of property. |

All aspects of commercial litigation including contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes and landlord/tenant issues with a particular emphasis in fraud related matters both in the civil as well as criminal jurisdictions. He has an in depth knowledge of intellectual property law advising on and dealing with trademarks and copyright issues. His experience in trademark litigation matters include anti-counterfeiting cases, parallel importing, copyright and computer litigation cases, intellectual property, licences, agreements and IP litigation. He has obtained and conducted a number of Search and Seize orders (formerly known as Anton Piller), and Freezing Orders (formerly known as Mareva). An excellent negotiator and has advised in numerous mediated settlements. His workload also includes company formation, acquisition and mergers and advising shareholders and directors. His experience extends to insolvency work where he enjoys a large following of insolvency practitioners who regularly instruct him and motoring prosecutions with a high level of success. |

Andrew manages to bridge the gap between these various disciplines with specialist knowledge of the law, practice and issues involved in each of them, and is, therefore, able to offer a “one stop shop”. His client base mainly comprising entrepreneurs who have founded, managed and developed their own businesses and who value a personal relationship with a commercial lawyer with expertise in these fields. Andrew combines a technical, forensic and commercial approach to his work. |

Mary is frequently involved in running workshops and presenting seminars to professional organisations and charities on various aspects of family law. |

Mary taught and lectured before being admitted as a solicitor in 1993. She has specialised in family law throughout her career joining us from a niche practice in North London. She is a member of Resolution formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association. |
